Step by step instructions for Cloudflare Registrar managed domains

Updated this week

Cloudflare Registrar provides domain names at cost with direct integration into the Cloudflare proxy system. The handles.net system is compatible with Cloudflare domains but requires that the Cloudflare proxy is disabled for the wildcard subdomain.

  1. Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard

  2. Navigate to your chosen domain's dashboard

  3. Click "DNS" in the left sidebar

  4. Click "Add record" in the "DNS management" section and fill out the form[1]

    1. Choose the CNAME type

    2. Enter * into the Name

    3. Enter at.handles.net into the Target

    4. Toggle Proxy status off

    5. Click "Save"

Your new wildcard CNAME record is ready[2]. Return to the handles.net dashboard page for your domain and within a few moments your domain should show as confirmed.
